Getting started

What is Bunch?

Bunch helps you meet people who share your interests. You join or create small groups called bunches, chat with members in real time, and find people through filters instead of photos.

How does Bunch decide which bunches to show me?

When you sign up, you choose the kind of connection you’re looking for, pick your interests and rate 20 short statements about yourself. Bunch uses those answers to suggest bunches and people that fit you. You can update your interests anytime in Profile > Edit profile, and your suggestions will change with them.

Account and login

I didn’t get my verification code

Codes can take up to a minute to arrive. For email, check your spam or promotions folder. For SMS, make sure your number includes the right country code and that your phone has signal. Then tap Resend on the verification screen. Still nothing? Email us with the address or number you used, and we’ll look into it.

How do I change my profile?

Go to Profile > Account Settings > Edit profile.

I’m not getting notifications

Open your Phone’s Settings > Notifications > Bunch and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Also check that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn’t blocking them.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings > Account Settings > Delete account and confirm. This permanently removes your profile, your bunch memberships and your messages. It can’t be undone. If you no longer have the app, email us from the address or number linked to your account and we’ll delete it for you.

Bunches

What’s the difference between open and private bunches?

Anyone can join an open bunch. A private bunch is invite-only: people join when the host invites them or accepts their request.

How do I create a bunch?

Tap Create bunch, give it a name, describe what it’s about and choose whether it’s open or private.

How do I leave a bunch?

Open the bunch, tap its name at the top, and choose Leave bunch.

Safety

How do I report or block someone?

Open their profile, tap the ⋯ menu and choose Report or Block. Blocked people can’t message you or see your profile. You can also report a message by pressing and holding it. We review every report and remove content or accounts that break the Terms of Use you accepted in the app.

Privacy and your data

What data does Bunch keep, and can I get a copy?

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. Under GDPR, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time. Email us and we’ll handle your request within 30 days.
